Delicious Gluten-Free Desserts That Won't Disappoint

If you are someone who follows a gluten-free diet, then you understand how hard it can be to find delicious desserts that fit the dietary guidelines. Unfortunately, there are many desserts that make use of wheat flour, which is off-limits for the devotee of a gluten-free diet. Luckily, there are also some really delicious desserts that don't have any gluten in them. Below is a list of three desserts that you can make that have zero gluten in them. Some contain no flour of any kind, while others contain substitutes.

Chocolate Fudge

Chocolate fudge is a dense, rich, and delicious dessert. It also doesn't have to be modified in order to become gluten-free. The basic recipe doesn't include any flour. All you need to get is sugar, chocolate, and either milk or condensed milk. The resulting dessert is like the sweetest and richest brownie you've ever had. There are various recipes online, so look at a few to determine if you want to make it using milk or condensed milk. The choice of dairy will determine the cooking time. You can also find recipes for maple fudge if you are not a fan of chocolate.

Flourless Chocolate Cakes

If you really love chocolate cake but have to eliminate gluten from your life, then the simple solution is to opt for coconut or almond flour. Using these flours in your cake recipe instead of traditional white flour eliminates the problem of gluten. The one thing you have to remember is that you can't simply swap in coconut flour or almond flour and use the same recipe that calls for regular flour. You will need to find a recipe that is designed using the substitute flour. This is because coconut flour and almond flour will absorb liquids differently than traditional white flour, which necessitates a different recipe.

Pudding

Another great dessert that has zero gluten is pudding. You can get this from the supermarket in a mix, or you can make it from scratch. If you feel like cooking from scratch, then you will need to have sugar, eggs, and milk. These ingredients make the basic pudding. If you want a vanilla pudding, you will add vanilla bean (or vanilla extract). If you want to make it chocolate, you will use melted chocolate.  There is a wide variety of things you can do with pudding, from adding citrus zest and making a lemon pudding to pairing a vanilla pudding with fresh fruit.
